Health And Safety

Please take care when entering or exiting the pods as the wooden boards at the front of the can get slippery in the rain or in the frost. There is a tubular, trickle-charge heater in the room to stop the pipes freezing and to prevent mold and moss growth. If you find this is on when you arrive, please feel free to turn it off but do take care when handling as although it is a low voltage device it may be hot to the touch.

Fire Safety

Please note SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED within the pod at any time. You should also note that the hob can get very hot. Please do not put anything on the hob other than when cooking. The fire exit to the pod is at the entrance door. For your own safety, please keep this clear of any obstruction. You can also exit the pod via the window above the bed if you cannot reach the door due to a fire, but please be aware of the drop, as the pod is raised from the ground at the rear. Do not obstruct the vents of the room heater and never attempt to dry clothes on this. You may dry clothes on the bathroom towel rail.

Water

Domestic hot and cold water systems can provide an environment where Legionella bacteria can grow. It is therefore important that you do not interfere with the settings on the hot water boiler. Please tell us if the hot water in the pod appears to be running cold or if the cold appears to be running hot. Please also inform us if the tap water appears in any way discoloured.
