What We Offer

Our offering is one of natural beauty and aesthetic calm.

The natural beauty derives from our location, situated as we are between rolling, wide-open farmland to the east and acres of dense, wild forest to the west.

There are animals everywhere – literally wherever you look – sheep and horses in the fields, rabbits and deer in the woods and their proximity immediately induces a sense of well-being.

So, if you’re looking for a break from the stresses and strains of modern life and decide to give us a try, may we suggest after you’ve checked in that you walk down the main driveway to the curling ponds and simply stare out over the fields? The scenery is truly gorgeous.

After that, why not take a gentle stroll through the forest just to the right of the main entrance? ‘Natural beauty’ means not just wildlife but also flora and fauna. In May, there are bluebells either side of the path; in September, there are toadstools.

As for the aesthetics, sadly modern life isn’t just stressful, but increasingly devoid of the artistic and the sublime. Fear not. We have preserved them here. You will find them in our magnificent dark-lit glass museum. You will find them in our film library. What was the last really amazing film you saw? Not just entertaining, but truly unforgettable. Have you seen Dersu Uzala? No? Keep an eye out for the storm scene. It’s absolutely mesmerizing.

So, that’s us.
